Manager of Individual Giving
Just Vision is seeking a dynamic and innovative development professional with 3-5 years experience in individual gifts, external relations, communications and database management. A successful candidate will possess the aptitude and proven track record to bring Just Vision’s fundraising efforts to the next level. Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a deep familiarity with fundraising best practices, planning and problem-solving skills as well as a love for building the financial resources and strategic networks required to build organizational power.
Candidates will enjoy a fast-paced, high-functioning and collaborative environment as an integral member of a small and committed staff. Candidates must possess a talent and genuine taste for interacting with Just Vision’s extended family as well as for making the case for support of the organization. Familiarity with the Israeli-Palestinian context is a must.
Lead the planning and implementation of donor events and facilitate participation in fundraising efforts across the team.
Collaborate with the Communications Manager to plan and execute our biannual mailing campaigns.
Oversee the maintenance and optimization of our donor database using Salesforce.
Manage research and systems development, in conjunction with the Manager of Institutional Partnerships and Operations and Development Associate, to ensure that Just Vision’s CRM solutions and online giving platforms are up-to-date.
Develop compelling donor-specific materials (including drafting email updates, proposals, reports, brochures and organizational one-pagers).
Work with the Executive Director and Manager of Institutional Partnerships to strengthen and build fundraising strategy across the organization.
Manage the accurate, timely and personalized acknowledgement of gifts.
Supervise Just Vision’s Development and Events Intern.
Possesses initiative and persistence as well as the ability to balance multiple competing priorities and responsibilities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience producing successful donor communication that resonates with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Proven track record of securing major individual gifts.
Highly responsive to email and phone.
Demonstrated skill and comfort in proactively and effectively building relationships with diverse audiences, including funders, community leaders and the public.
Ability to conceptualize and describe organizational needs in accessible, persuasive and inspiring ways.
Detail oriented and organized with a track record of consistently meeting deadlines.
Familiarity with Salesforce is a plus.
Knowledge of the Israeli-Palestinian context and a commitment to ending the occupation.
This is a full-time, exempt position based out of our New York office, with travel expected. We are seeking to fill the role by March 1. Applications are due by January 15.
