Are you a talented communicator who can tell a compelling story about Elrha and our work? Are you good at thinking creatively about the best ways to get our messages out through traditional and online media? Are you someone who can plan, deliver and evaluate a range of communications projects?
We are looking for a highly experienced Communications Officer who is ready to apply their expertise and develop their skills further within a fast-paced and creative team.
Elrha is a leading actor in the humanitarian system. We are dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by crises through high quality, cutting edge research and innovation. We fund and support research and innovation around the world, investigating ways to improve the global response to humanitarian crises. We work closely with people from humanitarian organisations, the international research community, the private sector and others working in these areas.
This post requires an individual looking for a challenging role, who is ready to take on this exciting and varied opportunity supporting a busy and ambitious team. You will be particularly skilled at maintaining an effective online presence for an organisation including: maintaining and updating websites using content management systems; producing external mailings; planning, producing and curating content for a variety of social media platforms; creating images and supporting the production of other multimedia content – all with a proven ability to tailor for different audiences.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years’ experience working in a communications role with considerable experience taking the lead when planning, delivering and evaluating communications projects, ideally within the third/charity sector. You will be given a high degree of autonomy in your work and it is essential that you feel confident working independently and within a team. Our staff are key to our success, and we recognise this through investing in training, development and strong line management support. If you are passionate about communications and making a difference in the humanitarian sector, we’d love to hear from you.
We are committed to the safeguarding and protection of children in our work. We will do everything possible to ensure that only those who are suitable to work with children are recruited to work for us. This post is subject to a range of vetting checks including a criminal records disclosure.
