Education for Global Peace (EGP ) is a global movement network that seeks to bring about a world based on a culture of peace. We believe that the foundation of peace is education and the foundation of the world is peace. Therefore our goal is to mainstream peace education in educational systems worldwide.
The Campaign Manager will work closely with the management team to provide leadership in strategizing, developing and promoting the global campaign for mainstreaming peace education. S/he will supervise all outreach, communication and marketing initiatives.
This is a full-timepart time voluntary position done remotely from home or other location.
Designing and executing a campaign strategy.
Serves as an enthusiastic ambassador for the organization in developing partnerships with organizations, institutions and educators.
Strategize, plan, and execute social media campaigns and calls-to-action with an eye to increase actions (online and on-the-ground)
Build and manage social media profiles and presence, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and additional channels that may be deemed relevant.
Communications: Development and effective implementation of communication and media plans that support organizational goals.
Outbound Materials: Work with the Board of Directors to ensure that web sites and other outbound communications (e-newsletters, annual report, marketing materials, news releases, press kits, etc.) are clear, effective, consistent with plans, and serve organizational goals.
Presents EGP at conferences and meetings with interested organizations.
Bachelors degree preferred, in related field (e.g. communications, digital media, marketing)
Passion for the project’s mission
Understanding of and experience in social marketing
A command of best practices and trends in digital engagement, advocacy, social media, online communications, and a proven track record of growing a nonprofit or company’s presence with a preference for action and advocacy.
Experience managing and building an email activist list prefered
Experience converting social media and email activists into activists who are willing to take more overt actions in support of our mission.
Proven leadership capabilities, as well as excellent interpersonal skills.
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Excellent knowledge of English (oral and written). Bilingual or multilingual a plus.
Excellent computer and Internet skills
