Presented by Heather Kulp, Professor of Practice, MS in Leadership & Negotiation
If you lead people, you negotiate with them. Whether you are assigning tasks, creating new roles, or trying to motivate a team, you need to know how to negotiate with those you lead. When these negotiations go well, everyone feels empowered and part of a greater whole. When those negotiations do not go well, resentment grows and productivity plummets. This session will examine the various ways leaders and their followers negotiate and will give leaders a new sense of how to engage those who work for them in productive, efficacious, and ethical ways.
About Heather Kulp Prior to joining Bay Path University, Professor Kulp was a Lecturer on Law at Harvard Law School and Clinical Instructor at the Harvard Negotiation and Mediation Clinical Program. There, she supervised students conducting dispute systems design and conflict assessment projects with organizational clients. She also taught in the Negotiation Workshop and the Harvard Negotiation Institute. For her full bio, click here.
