The edited volume “Truth, Justice and Reconciliation in Colombia: Transitioning from Violence” – can be accessed for free at the following link until 23 Oct 2018 https://rdcu.be/4fte
The book traces the history of the conflict in Colombia and of the negotiation process that produced the peace agreements, and outlines the (TJ framework of the agreements. It engages the challenges ahead for the implementation of these agreements from multidisciplinary perspectives, focusing on rural reform, reincorporation and reconciliation, historical memory and symbolic reparation, as well as feminist and intergenerational approaches to justice and reconciliation.
The volume also relates other countries’ experiences with transitional justice to the Colombian case – including South Africa, Sri Lanka, Peru, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. With its a rigour and strong concern for the practice of transitional justice, the book serves as a strong case study through which to explore transitional justice more broadly.
