The Centre for Trust, Peace and Social Relations at Coventry University currently has a number of scholarship opportunities available for our postgraduate online courses in Peace and Conflict Studies and Maritime Security.

Available for this September’s course intake, the United Kingdom’s Commonwealth Scholarship Commission have awarded us with a prestigious set of 5 scholarships which will cover course fees and all costs associated with attending residential workshops. Alongside this funding we once again are offering Ferguson Trust scholarships to eligible candidates for our Peace and Maritime Security programmes. More specifically, alongside our partial tuition fee scholarships, we have a scholarship covering the full tuition fees for our MA Peace and Conflict Studies targeting a peacebuilder who has become a practitioner in this field due to arising conflict in their own country but who has no formal qualifications in this subject area.

    Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarships

The Centre for Trust, Peace and Social Relations at Coventry University is delighted to have been designated as a partner university for the Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarships for our MA in Peace and Conflict Studies and MA Maritime Security starting in September 2018.  We are able to offer five all-inclusive scholarships to students from eligible Commonwealth countries which will cover all course fees for studying on one of these blended learning programmes as well as the costs of attending up to the three week-long workshops, including all accommodation and travel.  Applications close this week so for more information please visit https://www.coventry.ac.uk/research/research-directories/research-news/2018/commonwealth-distance-learning-scholarships-opportunities-to-study-masters-courses-in-peacebuilding-or-maritime-security-at-coventry-university/?Page=1&PageSize=5

    Ferguson Trust Scholarships

Ferguson Trust Scholarships are made available through the generosity of The Allan and Nesta Ferguson Charitable Trust to support students wishing to pursue our Peace and Conflict Studies and Maritime Security academic streams. The scholarships are designed for candidates from low-income countries and lower middle-income countries, which, ordinarily, are conflict-affected.  Please see the World Bank’s country and lending page for a definitive list of countries.

In addition to the partial scholarships that are normally available this year the Centre is able to offer a full fee scholarship to a civil society peacebuilder to recognise their work in the field and help formalise their practice.  In order to underline our commitment to supporting practitioners working in peace and reconciliation, this application is open to those who have become leaders in rebuilding their society and bringing communities together during and after conflict, but have no previous experience of studying peace studies or a related field.   For more information on these scholarships, with an application deadline of 20 July, please visit:
