    <p><span style=”color: #800000;”>Rapid Expert Assistance and Co-operation Teams for Conflict Prevention, Crisis Management and Post-Conflict Rehabilitation</span></p><p>General Information: The REACT course is a five-week training programme on international peace operations intended for those professionals willing to improve their knowledge on conflict prevention, crisis management and post-conflict rehabilitation, as well as to develop practical skills for their work in the field. The course aims to prepare international experts for their deployment in peace operations of international organizations including the United Nations (UN), the Organization for the Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), the European Union (EU) and other regional organizations.</p><p>Dates: May 3 – June 3 , 2016.</p><p>Duration: 220 hours of training.</p><p>Place: Madrid, Spain</p><p>Tuition fee: 4.950 € including a non-refundable 350 € registration fee.</p><p><span style=”color: #ff0000;”>Scholarships available. <span style=”color: #333333;”>(contact to learn more about the scholarship opportunity)</span></span></p><p>Diploma: Certified by International University Centre for Peace Missions – Helsinki España (IUCPM), Guardia Civil, EOI and the Peace Operations Training Institute.</p><p>Contents:  <span style=”color: #000080;”>Understanding peace and conflict; International Law; current threats to international peace and security; key actors and their contribution to conflict resolution and sustainaible peace; fieldwork techniques; and Hostile Environment Awareness Training.</span></p><p>Teaching staff: The teaching staff of the course are trainers and experts from international organizations, including the UN, OSCE and NATO; diplomats and civil servants; military personnel; police officers; experts from the ICRC and other NGOs; independent consultants; and university professors.</p><p> </p><p><span style=”color: #000000;”>HEAT COURSE:</span> As part of the REACT course, students will benefit from the <span style=”color: #993300;”>Hostile Environment Awareness Training</span> (HEAT), an intensive 40-hour course that aims at training professionals to deal effectively with risk-associated and emergency/critical situations while deployed in hostile environments abroad.
