Jam Session is a cookbook which tells the stories and recipes of the Parents Circle’s Women’s Group.  This wonderful group of women, all bereaved, was born out of a need to express a female voice in our programs.  By sharing their recipes and their stories with each other, they learned the other’s narratives and delicacies.  Now, they share those same stories and recipes with you.

Give the gift of Jam Session for Passover or Easter by making a minimum contribution of $35.  This cookbook is an excellent introduction to the women of the Parents Circle and to the flavors of Israeli and Palestinian cuisine.  Contributions may be made online, through Network for Good (please indicate that your contribution is for Jam Session and provide a mailing address), or by check made out to the American Friends of the Parents Circle and sent to 301 E. 57th St, 4th Floor New York, NY 10022.
Jam Session was accompanied by Israeli Culinary Mentor, Gil Hovav and Palestinian chef, Hussam Abbas.  Israeli photographer, Reli Avrahami, captures the flavors and narratives in pictures.
