I’m writing with a request, if I may, as I continue to pursue my research regarding how 9/11 is approached in schools, including student perceptions of 9/11, the post-9/11 era and Islamophobia.
If you are able and interested, please consider sharing this link (below) with teachers and students (middle and high school public schools). It’s a survey that takes about 5-10 minutes, and which asks students about their impressions of any lessons or activities they’ve participated in related to the events of 9/11. Student assent and parent consent is included right in the survey, so all an interested student and/or parent has to do is click. The survey is IRB (research review board) approved by my university.
Please forward widely to any middle or high school teacher you think might be interested in sharing this student survey with his or her class.
