The Palgrave Encyclopedia of Global Security Studies is a comprehensive volume featuring over 500 articles/entries on numerous themes in the field of international security and critical security studies. The volume will be published in 2018 by Palgrave Macmillan and is being edited by Scott N. Romaniuk (University of Trento) and Manish Thapa (United Nations mandated University for Peace).

The editors invite academics to contribute short articles on a wide range of topics. Entries should be between 1,000-1,500 words minimum, and 4,000 words as an upper limit. The encyclopedia covers the following subject areas:

    Health Security
    • Poverty and Economic Security
    • Human Right and Community Security
    • Environmental Security
    • Food Security
    • Conflict, Violence, and Security
    • Energy Security

Entries should be exploratory, explanatory, and include critical analysis. Contributors should include references, 3-5 suggested readings, and 3-5 “see other entries…” in their work. Submission will be accepted on a rolling basis and the final deadline for the project is May 2018. A complete list of available entries will be provided upon request.
