    Borno Multi-Stakeholder Forum

    Peacebuilding Joint Evaluation & Planning

    Formal Invitation

    It is our pleasure to formally invite you to the Borno Multi-Stakeholder Peacebuilding Joint Evaluation & Planning Forum. The purpose of the Forum will be to provide a facilitated space for agencies and organisations in Borno state working on peacebuilding, early warning and prevention, youth peacebuilding, women’s peacebuilding, social cohesion and reconciliation, DDR and related fields to come together to assess the current state of peacebuilding and peace support efforts in Borno, what is working, challenges, and priorities – for policy and practice – to improve peacebuilding efforts in the state. The Forum will provide a multi-stakeholder space in which practitioners and staff from organisations active in Borno will be able to share their experiencies, reflect and evaluate together, and jointly identify recommendations for improving practice and collaboration in the State.

    The Multi-Stakeholder Peacebuilding Forum is being organised as part of Search for Common Ground’s ongoing and committed efforts to support peacebuilding and the prevention of armed violence in Borno and more widely across Nigeria. We are glad to invite you as sister and partner organisations to this event to see together how peacebuilding, peace consolidation and the prevention of armed violence and conflict can be strengthened and supported in Borno.

    Working Agenda

    The Forum will begin at 10:00 and continue until 16:30. Participants are asked to arrive at 09:30. Participation in the workshop is for the full day.

     

    The programme will include:

    • State of the Field: Identifying Key Conflicts & Key Peacebuilding Programming in Borno Today
    • Joint Analysis: Identifying Success, Strengths, Challenges & Needs to Improve Peacebuilding in Borno
    • Towards Improving Policy & Practice: Developing Recommendations & Practical Proposals

     

    The Forum will be facilitated by Kai Brand-Jacobsen, Director of the Department of Peace Operations (DPO) of PATRIR (short bio attached).
