Do you want to accelerate your career in social change? Looking to enhance your skills and gain cutting-edge expertise? Then you should consider Amani Institute’s Social Innovation Management Postgraduate Certificate Program.

This impactful, field-based program brings together a group of competitively selected, highly talented individuals from around the world who all share a passion for social change. This 10-month program combines both online and on-the-ground learning experiences with a global cohort of dedicated changemakers. The 4-month immersion phase is completed in one of the major global hubs in social innovation Sao Paulo, Brazil or Nairobi, Kenya. This program has the depth and pace necessary to train for effective change making – the intensity is equivalent to a 2-year traditional master’s degree.

The program consists of 10+ practical courses taught by global experts, 1 personalized apprenticeship, 3 field trips across the country, and 40 like-minded individuals. And these are just some of the highlights. You will build a global network, develop your talent and innovative tools and receive personalized guidance to understand how to be sustainable and successful in the long run. Below find an infographic explaining the different phases and elements of the program:

    When?

    1st of February 2016 – 30th of November 2016

    Where?

6 months online – from anywhere in the world

4 months either in Nairobi, Kenya or Sao Paulo, Brazil

    Continued Education

Through our partnerships with Lynn University in Florida, USA – ranked as one of the most innovative Universities in the States – you can continue your education towards an MBA in Social Innovation Management. Learn more about this opportunity here.

You can also obtain a diploma in Social Innovation from the United Nations Mandated University for Peace at their Executive Education Center by taking only two more online courses of their program after completing your Fellowship with Amani Institute. Learn more about this option here.

    Who should apply?

The program is open to anyone in the world with an undergraduate degree who is eager to train intensively to build his/her skills at leading social change. We are especially looking for people like:

    • Rodolphe, a recent graduate determined to create a life and career of addressing the world’s biggest social challenges but isn’t sure where to start
    • Ken, who works for an international NGO and has been looking for a way to improve his practical skills and leadership capacity but hasn’t found a master’s program that provides what he needs
    • Jessica, who has been working in a large multinational company but feels that her passion for making a difference would find better use with organizations solving problems like pollution or health care
    • Jesah, who is tired of a corporate career and looking to kickstart his own social enterprise – which he did, after completing the Social Innovation Management Program in 2014
