Advocacy Assembly is a free learning community for human rights activists and journalists. The platform is the brainchild of London based non-for-profit organisation Small Media who designed and built it in 2015. They are in charge of the platform’s maintenance and security.

But the platform does not belong to one organisation, instead it is a collaborative space where training organisations from around the world can upload their best training material and reach new audiences. The first organisations who signed up to the platform and produced courses for it were: Rory Peck Trust, City University New York, School of Data and of course Small Media.

    1. Sign up: Join Advocacy Assembly, the world’s only free online training platform for human rights activists, campaigners and journalists.

    2. Enrol: Our online multimedia courses are taught by human rights, media, design and data professionals from leading organisations from around the world.

    3. Learn: Gain new practical advocacy skills in English, Farsi or Arabic. Courses take max 90 minutes to complete and you can start and finish whenever you want.

    Rewards

The biggest reward you’ll get from completing a course on Advocacy Assembly is a brand new set of skills that you can apply to your advocacy work! But everyone needs a little incentive to push them along sometimes…

If you refer your friends to Advocacy Assembly, and become one of our ‘top referrers’ then you could be eligible to receive fantastic rewards like: a one-on-one mentoring session with one of our teachers; a subscription to a neat piece of software to help you visualise your data or to a tool to help manage your social media accounts; or a voucher for buying ads on Facebook or Google.
