We are pleased to announce that the deadline for self-funded candidates to apply for the Advanced Summer Course “Human Rights for Development” (HR4DEV) has been extended until 22May 2015.
The course takes place in Leuven, Belgium, from 16 August until 11 September 2015. We especially welcome candidates with an interest in transitional justice to apply for Module 2, i.e. the latter 2 weeks of the course from 30 August until 11 September 2015. Candidates can also apply for the entire course (4 weeks), or for the general module on human rights and development (2 weeks, from 16 until 28 August).
What are dominant and alternative approaches to transitional justice? What are the potential and limits of human rights for development? These are some of the questions that will be addressed in the course, from a critical and interdisciplinary perspective.
The training programme targets ‘leaders of the future’ in human rights, development and transitional justice practice, policy and academia, from the global South and North.
All applications are to be submitted online on http://www.hr4dev.be by 22 May 2015. Please note that only self-funded candidates can apply, as the course organisers are not in a position to provide scholarships.
Should you require further information, please do not hesitate to contact the course secretariat (Sara Lembrechts) via firstname.lastname@example.org.
