    MICS is an international seminar focused on conflict journalism and journalistic integrity, held annually in Israel. We offer journalists and media personal from around the world the opportunity to learn theoretical and practical skills on conflict coverage from top experts in their field, while using the Israeli-Palestinian conflict as a case study. Participants will develop a deeper understanding of conflict DNA, obstacles in reporting and ways to overcome them.

    The seminar is a diverse social and cultural experience, that will help participants develop a deeper understanding of conflict DNA, obstacles in reporting and ways to overcome them.

    Participants of the seminar will receive a journalist pass to The Institute of Counter-Terrorism annual world summit held in Tel-Aviv. This year the summit will take place on 9-12/09/2018.

    About The Seminar

    The seminar includes:

    • Lectures by top experts in the fields of conflict journalism, terrorism, defense and security, Middle East, international law and more

    • Strategic tours to Jerusalem and areas of dispute in Israel and The West Bank

    • 5-day fully subsidized stay in Israel – accommodation, meals and transportation (Not including airfare)

    The Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzliya

    MICS is a student initiative of both Israeli and International students of the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzliya. We host the seminar at the IDC campus.
