We’re seeking talented scientists, technologists, and entrepreneurs
You’re invited to apply to our Global Solutions Program (GSP), which gathers talented leaders, scientists, technologists, and entrepreneurs from across the globe to build new companies around moonshot innovations that can positively impact humanity. The program runs June 17th to August 17th, 2017, on the SU campus at NASA Ames Research Park.
Now in its 9th year, the program just keeps getting better!
This year, we’re taking steps to further ensure successful outcomes for participants, and tangible impact for their ultimate companies. We’re looking for proven business-building experience in our participants, partnering with XPRIZE, and placing particular emphasis on finding solutions to one of the world’s most urgent problems: climate change. We’ll consider applicants addressing other challenges as well, while we build a strong cohort of those innovating in the climate change field. Climate change demands solutions in many areas ripe for innovation: if you’re developing sustainable food sources or alternative energy sources, building governance models for policy, or focused on issues such as biodiversity or water access, to name but a few fields, you’re already part of the solution and should definitely apply.
GSP is open to people from all professional backgrounds, and we encourage anyone to apply who has the passion to dream big and the talent and track record to bring that dream to life. You’re an ideal candidate if you: Are an experienced entrepreneur who has already turned over at least one successful company, and are ready to do it again in the impact space
Are an accomplished technologist, scientist, or change agent and are recognized as a thought leader in your chosen field(s)
Have a background in or a passion for addressing climate change
Have an innovative solution to an urgent global challenge—ideally, but not limited to, climate change—that leverages exponential technologies and can positively impact a billion people within 10 years
Are prepared to commit to launching a startup around your innovation and remaining attached to that venture, wherever the journey may lead post-GSP, based on your GSP team project
Sound like you (or someone you know)? If so, there are two ways to apply, and we strongly encourage you use both methods:
Enter a Global Impact Challenge (GIC) that is aligned with your proposed moonshot innovation, if available. Keep checking this site, as new challenges are being added.
