Art for peace and collaboration between India and Pakistan

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3iiWNZesWwg

Hindi and Urdu is one language when spoken but written in two different scripts hence it is the only major language of the world with this characteristic, says Pakistani artist Syed Mohammad Anwar, a lawyer by profession. He has highlighted this aspect of the language through his calligraphic work, first of its kind, saying it can be used together with other efforts to promote peace and tolerance in the region. Nasir Mahmood has sent us this report from Islamabad. [ Nasir Mehmood Voice of America]

This are is created to promote peace, collaboration and better understanding between people of India and Pakistan. Hindi-Urdu language is the biggest common denominator between India and Pakistan where language is unfortunately is divided on the basis of religions whereas language has no religion. It is aimed that the promotion of this part work will help the peace efforts in the region.

The author certainly means well. Hindusthani as zabani or spoken language has  many urdu words or alfaz. The spirit with which this unity call is being raised  calls for celebration. The music is one, the ragas are one, the rhythm is one- People are the same-each year some one or the other from pakistan visits us in our humble abode in Brisbane- mostly singers, poets or social workers.  The same wheat, the same rice and the same curries and Garam masala.  It is unfortunate that the politicians behaviour is the sadest part.

Dear Venkat sahib you are so right … so its the high time to promote our commonalities ..that is why I named my art work as Samrup Rachna ( Congregant Creativity )… for more you may google this term or even Wikipedia also explains it. We must collaborate for the cause of peace …

thank you anwer saheb Inshalla a day will come.

There is a conference taking place in Nepal on strengths  based practice in social work and human services. it would be a great idea to send a poster to the confernce  or come by yourself and see what else  can be done by non state actors. Peace is not government job. They think war is. It is unfortunately their bread and butter as without social control and fear agenda governments can not survive and thrive. Added to this is the issue of superficially spiritual   mulllahs and pandits- whose preoccupation is less with God and more with creation of hatred. same blood which is red  spills from innocent lives on the road, dries quickly due to sun’s heat and before any one can fathom the reason for hatred. People are ordered to go home- peace prevails as curfew is ordered. Aman? or farce. Another day breaks.  I work at teach at Charles Sturt University.  do see the conference site and tell other people. In my own way I am a pacific activist.  http://www.strengthsbasedpractice.com.au
